What does Agile Coach training cover?
As an Agile Coach, not only do you know how to introduce agile working methods, but also how to inspire teams to achieve their full potential. You coach teams and individuals. This means you can effortlessly guide people such as Product Owners and Scrum Masters in their roles. But an Agile Coach does more than just this. Aside from (1) getting optimal performance out of a team, an Agile Coach also looks at (2) the relations between teams and (3) the overall ecosystem of the teams (see figure). During Agile Coach training, you will learn how to flawlessly and professionally shape your role in this complex environment.
Result of the training
After taking this training course, you will:
- Feel confident in performing the Agile Coach role,
- Have valuable tools that immediately make you a good Agile Coach.
- Know that Agile and Scrum are about more than just meetings and roles: they are also about organisational culture, behavioural change and mindsets.
- Have become familiar with the Agile Coach role in a variety of exercises.
- Walk away inspired by our trainers’ experiences and practical examples (from non-IT environments).
Content of the Agile Coach training
The topics covered in this four-day training course may vary. Beforehand, participants submit situations from their day-to-day work which will be examined during the course. We place a great deal of value on participants providing experiences from their own day-to-day work. Sharing experiences from different organisations and contexts always offers new insights. In addition, training as an Agile Coach introduces new theoretical approaches. Approaches that go beyond normal Scrum theory. The course covers the following topics:
- Team coaching and team interventions
- Individual coaching and mentoring
- Agile transformations (change management)
- Involving the management in agile working/running an agile organisation
- Expansion of agile working (from team to organisation) and suitable frameworks for this
- How to accelerate an agile transformation
- The power of visualisation
- Comparison of different methods (Lean, Scrum, Kanban)
- What are the benefits of the Agile Scrum Group?
The Agile Scrum Group specialises in Scrum for non-IT organisations. Our trainers enjoy a wealth of practical experience, which they use to bring theory to life in our Agile Coach training. The best testament to this is our ratings from past participants. They have given us an 8.4 out of 10 – a result we take pride in!
